After brushing, the active ingredient bonds to teeth for many hours, slowly dissolving in saliva to release the optimum ratio of calcium, phosphate and fluoride to develop new tooth minerals. This provides a more resistant surface (fluorapatite) layer on children’s teeth to combat the acidic effects of fizzy drinks, fruit juices, sweets and snacks for up to 12 hours.
